Standards

Find detailed instructions on setting up an Intertek Inform account, as well as locating, requesting, viewing, and downloading Australian and international standards.

International Standards (API, ASME, ASTM, etc.)

Other international standards (except for ISO, IEC and NSAI - refer to instructions for requesting these) are not part of our subscription and will display a 'Request for Quote' button.

Many of these can be added to our subscription, but before proceeding with a request, please contact Ask a Librarian so we can discuss your needs and provide you with the best advice.

Purchase international standards through the Intertek Inform store

Once you have spoken with a librarian you may wish to purchase an international standard directly through the Intertek Inform store.

  1. Search for the standard.

  1. You will have the choice to purchase a single or multiple user licence PDF or a hard copy.

  1. Ensure you read and check the box to agree to the document rules before clicking Buy now:

  1. You will be asked for your billing information.

  1. In the Order Summary section, click on the ‘i’ symbol under Format:

  1. This will display the PDF conditions of use (the conditions may change depending on the standard purchased):

Note: Once electronic copies of standards purchased through the Intertek Inform store are downloaded they are locked to that device and cannot be shared.

International standards that we cannot obtain

Intertek Inform includes access to over 350 standards publishers but please note:

  • some standards cannot be added to the database
  • some publishers have minimum purchase requirements.

If you require standards from the following publishers, you can purchase them via the Intertek Inform store (links to relevant collections in the table below) or contact Ask a Librarian to purchase multiple standards from the same publisher.

Individual standards can be purchased through the Intertek Inform store. Contact Ask a Librarian if you wish to purchase 5 or more DIN standards.
ASTM American Society Testing & Materials Individual standards can be purchased through the Intertek Inform store. Contact Ask a Librarian if you wish to purchase 10 or more ASTM standards.
BSI British Standards Institution Individual standards can be purchased through the Intertek Inform store. Contact Ask a Librarian if you wish to purchase 10 or more BSI standards.
ENA Energy Networks Association Australia Individual standards can be purchased through the Intertek Inform store. Contact Ask a Librarian if you wish to purchase the complete ENA collection of standards.
RISSB Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board Individual standards can be purchased through the Intertek Inform store. Contact Ask a Librarian if you wish to purchase the complete RISSB collection of standards.

DNV

 Det Norske Veritas Standards can't be added to Intertek Inform. Purchase standards directly through DNV's Veracity Rules and Standards Explorer+ purchasing platform.

Purchasing hard copy standards

Some standards listed in Intertek Inform are only available to purchase as hard copies:

We are unable to add hard copy standards to the Intertek Inform database so these need to be purchased separately, through either the Intertek Inform store or the publisher’s website.
