Discovery Guide

This guide gives basic details on searching the library collections using the Discovery tool

Saving searches

Discovery allows users to manage their saved search queries and receive email updates when there are new updates. Users can view, delete, create an RSS feed, and set/clear alerts for saved searches in the "My Favorites > Saved Searches" page.

Saving a search from the results list

Select the 'Save Query' option from the top of the page, just below the search box.

Note: You must be signed in to save searches from the results page.

Saving a search from the search history

  • to save a search from your search history click on the Pin button at the top right-hand side of the page to go to your saved items
  • select the Search History Tab
  • select the search to be saved, and click on the Pin button.

Note: If you are not signed in, your queries are available only during the current session.

Removing searches

  • to remove a search from your saved search, click on the Pin button at the top right-hand side of the page to go to your saved items.
  • select Saved Searches and select the Unpin button PinnedIcon.png next to the search.
