Research Publications Repository external user guide

Advice and strategies for efficiently locating and understanding publications that appear within the CSIRO Research Publications Repository (RPR)

Sorting results

You are able to sort the search results by:

  • Date (newest - default)
  • Author (by first author in the field)
  • Title (alphabetically)
  • Relevance (calculated using a number of factors including the number of times a search term appears in a record).

Filtering results

You can filter or refine the search results by using one or more of the following filters:

  • Date of publication
  • Publication type
  • Author

To refine your  search results, select one or more of the checkboxes on the left-hand side of the filters. Then, click on the blue 'Filter Results' button.

There are two ways to clear the filters. The first option is to click on the 'clear filters' button located on the right side of the filter results button. This will remove all the filters that you have selected. The second option is to select the 'Clear' button on the right side of each filter section that you want to remove, but keep any other filters that you have selected intact.

The Author filter displays the names of authors who have contributed to publications that match your search. The authors with the highest number of publications will be listed first, up to 10 authors will be displayed initially. Click "More" to view up to 100 authors. If you can't find a specific author, try narrowing your search by adding their name to the search.
