FAQs and Troubleshooting

A: Search terms are matched when they occur in a publication's title, authors, abstract or keywords. Only the title and authors are displayed on the Search Results page. You can view the abstract and keywords by clicking on a publication's title.
A: No, this is not supported. A query such as *fire will generate an error.
A: No, this is not supported. A query such as "climate change*" will return the same results as "climate change".
A: The distribution of these items is generally governed by copyright regulations. Contact your local public library, or your institution's library, to request a copy.
A: Contact CSIRO Library Services via Ask a Librarian; please include Record Title and URL, and/or detailed information on the problem along with your contact details so we can get in touch if necessary.
A: When you have selected to refine your results to the last 2 years and clicked on the Refine button, a new set of results are displayed. As the “Last 2 years” is a subset of the “Last 5 years”, all the records in this new set have also been published within the last 5 years, so that option will show the same numerical result. If you want to return to your original search, click on the Clear All button. You will then be able to refine your search using the other date options.
