Document delivery is a service that provides CSIRO researchers with rapid access to articles, chapters, reports and loans of material that are required for CSIRO work purposes but are not currently available in CSIRO’s electronic resource collection.
Items are sourced from CSIRO’s print collection and our global resource sharing network of libraries, partner organisations and commercial suppliers and we will do our best to connect you with the research materials you need.
Resources that can be requested include:
CSIRO Library Services will cover the standard charges for books borrowed via the document delivery service.
As an alternative to supplying a book via document delivery, we may choose to purchase a copy for the CSIRO collection so that is it available to everyone. The cost for this is generally covered by the Library.
eBooks are purchased digital rights management (DRM) free where available. Refer to the eBooks guide for more information on DRM free eBooks.
The Library will endeavour to cover the standard charges for articles and conference papers supplied from external libraries, however we may require a cost centre from you if the only way to supply an article or conference paper is to purchase a single use copy* from a commercial supplier and the cost exceeds $100. If this applies, we will contact you before placing an order.
*A single use copy is only available to access and download by the requester.
