Save your Library (the .ENL file and associated .DATA folder) into a single compressed .enlx file to back it up.
Watch this video (1 min) or follow the steps below:
To compress your Library:

Important: You can save your Compressed Library (.enlx file) to a cloud syncing folder, but you'll need to move it to your local drive i.e. Local Disc (C:) before you open and edit it.
It is highly recommended that you store your Compressed Library (back up) in a different location to your original Library.
Related information: EndNote: Moving, backing up, or transferring libraries to another computer.
Synchronise your EndNote 21 Library contents (references, groups and file attachments) with a free EndNote Online account.
Use any computer to access your references directly from a web browser using EndNote Online.
Watch this video (1 min 10 sec) or follow the steps below.
Set up EndNote Sync
Important: Do not move or rename your EndNote Library files after they are synchronised as this breaks the link to the Sync target Library. Only sync and share one primary Library. Attempting to sync multiple Libraries will merge the references of both EndNote Libraries.
Additional information: EndNote X6 and later with EndNote Online using Sync.
