This CSIRO specific guide has information on managing your references using EndNote.

Purchase & install EndNote

CSIRO has negotiated a cost-effective contract with EndNote.

Your EndNote license will allow you to install EndNote on up to 3 computers for personal use.

EndNote Upgrade from any previous version:  $125
  1. Click on the CSIRO IM&T Self Service Assistant icon  in the Taskbar located at the bottom of the desktop.
  2. Select Install/Purchase software.
  3. Search for EndNote in the search box on the top right of the screen.

  4. Follow the prompts to download and complete the installation. You will need to provide your WBS cost code.

 

From 27th March 2023 onwards, a free upgrade to EndNote 21 is available to anyone who purchased EndNote 20 using CSIRO IM&T Self-Service Assistant.

Set your preferences

The Find Full Text feature locates and downloads full-text articles (PDFs) for references in your Library by accessing several sources:

  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
  • PubMed LinkOut
  • Web of Science Full Text Links

This feature will find publicly available or open access articles.

For best results, set your EndNote preferences to query authenticated sources from CSIRO Library's online subscriptions.

  1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.

  2. Select Find Full Text.
  3. Paste this address in the OpenURL Path and the Authenticate with URL fields:
    https://ap01-a.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/view/uresolver/61CSIRO_INST/openurl?
  4. Selecting Automatically invoke Find full-text…. allows EndNote to search for full text as you import new references.
  5. Click on Apply and OK.
