Discovery Guide

This guide gives basic details on searching the library collections using the Discovery tool

This library guide provides information on accessing and using Discovery. Discovery searches across physical and online resources available in the library collection, as well as articles and other resources, with links to full-text and the Document Delivery Service.

Intended Audience: This guide was created for all CSIRO professional and research staff. The purpose of this guide is to assist library users in understanding and using the many features available in Discovery.

Logging into Discovery

  1. sign-in using your CSIRO username and password
  2. the sign-in option is located in the top, right corner of the Discovery page
  3. your name will appear in place of the sign-in option once you're logged in.

When you are signed in to Discovery, you can access features such as:

  • set search preferences for your current and future sessions
  • save items for later referral
  • check and renew items you have on loan
  • set alerts and RSS feeds for your queries.
